Sandy Lorraine Thomas

Sandy Lorraine Thomas is a native of Cocoa, Florida. She is the second of four children born to the late Eugene Buckner and Easter Buckner. She is a graduate of Cocoa High School class of 1981 and Jones College of Jacksonville, graduating with a B.S. in Business Management, class of 1985.

Sandy is the devoted wife of Pastor Leofric W. Thomas, Sr. (united in marriage in March 1989) and the proud mother of two Leofric W. Thomas, Jr. and Kristian Lorraine Thomas.

Affectionately known as “Lady Sandy”, she is truly an inspiration to the ministry, especially to the women of OACF. It is because she is such a woman of great character that she is a faithful servant. Her trademark is her beautiful smile that illuminates a room when she enters.

Sandy Thomas serves in many capacities at Open Arms including leader of the WINGS(Women in God’s Service) Ministry, mentor and leader of the Young Ladies Ministry, teacher of our new members (New Life classes), Camp Open Arms Summer Camp administrator, wedding Ministry Coordinator, serves in the Inspirational Choir, and any other capacity where there is a need.

She proudly assists Pastor Thomas in guiding Open Arms as the visionaries of this house.
